However, I use the eBay shops loads for horse gear - have got some good quality jods for around 14 pounds and a heavyweight rug for 40.
There isn't really an excuse anymore, it should definitely be mandatory by law.
Especially now the horse wear companies have brought out snazzy and 'cool' ways to wear hi-viz such as bandages and noseband covers.
Try getting someone else to hold him whilst you plait.
We have a mare who is difficult to plait and won't stand still unless someone is stroking her nose and playing with her lips. Just gives her something to think about.
