Some points on this post beggars belief !
Perhaps some should try living on a working farm, especially in these extreme weathers, working long days, no holiday,no Christmas break, no lie in, no income if weathers poor and crops fail, no guaranteed salary at the end of the month., no sick pay...
Yes was told by doctor and the physio that it will be a year before I can ride...
I had planned to get on prior to that for hacking and just 'sit' on as I can't see the harm in that as long as sensible.
I'm doing physio exercises trying to regain the muscle which has wasted away in my thigh...
I tore my ACL and damaged my MCL on 2nd feb (ski hiccup), recovery tipped at about a year After surgery for riding. Have put horse up for sale (only 7yo and likes to 'do', not sit around for a year!) he is going in HHO next week.
I came out of my fixed brace on Monday and now have to get...
This is lovely, and brought a tear to my eye.
I lost my very precious friend this summer to colic.
I am so sorry for your loss and the pain I know you are feeling.

We live on a farm, my partner is a farmer by blood although not currently farming. We are surrounded by labs, springers and jacks.
We have a elderly jack - who lords it up and does just as she pleases. Does not wear a collar or lead, never has, does as she's told within reason, never strays...

He is still experiencing difficulty now and has been back to the vet a further two times (different practices as I wasn't confident in the first).
2nd vet looked at him last week and can find no explanation for his...
Can anyone recommend any food suitable for elderly dogs, our 16 yo jack has gradually began to struggle eating her food and is loosing weight as a result. She did have bakers meaty balls, we switched to small dog but this is quite crunchy. I will get her back on meaty balls as we only changed...
I've had toggi canyon, lining had it after a few months and they are not fully waterproof.
I've got Dublin river boots they are better but sagging and faded so look scruffy.
I wouldn't buy either of them again, think I will try tuffa next time they are supposed to be better.
Any reviews or suggestions please. Currently have a no brand one on the Shetland which is pulling back so no good, pony has the amigo one which is ok but we are surrounded by water so the mozzies are very extreme. Wondered if there's any better cover ups that people recommend as the pair of them...
Old thread but anyway...! I'm near eddies (on the other side of the a249 tho) if anyone wants company to hack or go places I take my horse out by myself every week which gets a bit dull!
