    Lambley, Nottinghamshire

same van in stanley, ilkeston this morning near a yard, again looking at horses. The police went out, apparently the plates aren't registered to that van. My mum had the plates stolen off her car not that long ago, so she's not too happy either! My horse is only a couple of miles away, so being...

If I pluck up the courage to go drag hunting...

I don't boot - only because she doesn't normally wear boots. But if your horse is used to wearing boots then do!! It would also depend on the land as to whether or not I put boots on!!

    Readyfield next Sunday

Yes they are going out. I will not be plaiting and will be wearing tweed. They generally have two groups a faster group and a slower group. They do generally move at a fair speed but you should be ok.

    Pup eating poo

Hi I have a 6mth old curly coated retriever who has taken to eating her own poo. She is a good weight and looks really healthy. She is the correct weight for her age and size and is up to date wormer wise. People keep telling me she is missing something nutritionally, but I don't know what...

Anyone going with the Readyfield this Sunday??

My friend is going and taking my other friends daughter. I would be going but its my dads birthday and I'm working Sunday night as well so need to take him out for dinner. Its the childrens meet, optional jumping day. I think they are hoping to get a few people out and children out as well. I...

    Georgie Barnes

I have booked a lesson with her for Monday. Anyone I know who has used her says she is very good. We are about 20 mins from her yard. I will let you know how I get on. I'd also be interested to hear other people's reports of her.

    Supplements

Which supplement would you use for a horse with clicky joints/ligaments. They are not stiff when riding or standing in for long periods of time, they just click often when they move. Many thanks.

    Does anyone feed dengie fibremix?

Yes I feed it. She only has a couple of handfuls in her ball though, nothing that would give much nutritional value.

    Laminitis and excerise

People worry about the pedal bone dropping, but your vet should advise on when to start work. If he said this weekend, ride this weekend. Sometimes they need weeks of box rest, other times they are fine just be walked out straight away. My old pony had it, first time he had to have three weeks...

    Novice Working Hunter

As said before, leave the martingale on if you need one. You won't get marked down for wearing one...but again it could be a deciding factor!

    Novice Working Hunter

Normally you would carry a stick - a lot of riders will wear spurs but being a novice class I'm not too sure. Your dress sounds fine. You can put a numner underneath the saddle, but ensure its smart and is a similar colour to your tack. You can jump in a martingale and will need to take it...

    THIN/FAT debate

I think that, for a yearling she is just right. I wouldn't be at all surprised if you were told she was too thin. My mare (below) is the ideal weight yet I was told she was far to thin in the ring last year..... I just laughed.
