You could try natural yoghurt (cheapest possible as less additives). I had one earlier in the year who had runny poo and started chewing wood. Gave him yoghurt mixed in chaff for about 10 days (From memory it was 4 dessert spoons twice a day). He improved within days, and was back to normal...

I understand that in the UK, type 2 can only be tested via muscle biopsy. However, you can use a USA company called Equiseq who will test from dried blood on a card.

If you're using Pure Feeds, it might be worth you looking at Primero Total. The bags are 20kg as opposed to 15kg and the recommended daily amount is lower.
I've used it for mine for years, although I only feed through the winter.
I don't like them either. Fit wasn't great (tight on chest), and the buckles snapped within a couple of weeks. So never got the chance to try it in wet weather. I too emailed customer service, but never got a response.
Sticking to Swish from now on.

Have you looked into Primero Total? I tried mine on Pure Feeds, but switched back to Primero as the horses preferred it and worked out cheaper. It comes in 20kg bags, and I feed mine 1kg each daily. You do have to by a minimum of 12 bags though. If I want to add extra bulk, I...
