Advice on waterford bit for traditional cob?

I use a waterford for my sec D. It's never really worked but his problem is his mind not his mouth, lol! I guess you could try a NS (borrow?) as all horses are different. Good luck and I'd love to see a pic of your cob. Pleeeeeeeeeease?

    hay pillows?

I've used haylege nets with the string removed and a carabina used instead. Work very well but they do get dirty but wash well in the machine!

    RIP Wiz

Wizzer was pts this morning with his bestest friend very close by. The vet suggested this in the summer as we couldn't get on top of his SI. He was allergic to topical treatments and I was not willing to try the injection. Anyway thank you Jamie, from the Berkeley, for your professional expertise.

how far do you travel? DIY only

Mine's a 10 minute walk but before that it was 15 mins drive. I wouldn't travel much more than that as the car wouldn't cope, lol!

    Sweet Itch

My Fell is still suffering badly from SI. He's now becoming dangerous to handle - had me on the floor this morning. I know what I need to do but don't have the money to pay for it. Can't think straight as I've just lost one of my dogs in an horrendous accident

Yes I've heard that rye grass is full of sugar and also it doesn't soak out. To my mind it's only fit for cattle!
