I've heard Ecobed is brilliant so I've enquired about it, but a week later I've still not had a price for a pallet so I thought I'd continue my search in the meantime. Is there another company of cardboard bedding that are recommended?

Ransford is new wood so it's not meant to rot away like other woodchip. Although I know I will have to top up the surface after 2yrs. Thanks both. Anyone else? :p

Also I have been told there is a very strong and porous membrane that a builder has. Should I not even consider this because it's not designed for equine use? :confused:
Can anyone tell me what the general rule is for the depth of a sand arena, please? I'm having some slightly different advice so far!

Generally, I have heard that woodchip is not fit for purpose - apparently it's slippery and holds water. I've been looking into Ransford's woodfibre surface and this wood type surface is meant to be fantastic. Has anyone here ridden on a Ransford surface?

Interesting, thanks. Do sharp horses usually display behaviour such as head flicking/weaving with people/food around? I know this is a bit of a generalisation but was wondering if a sharp horse could even be noticed when stabled.
Hi all. I've been thinking about this as some riders tend to get the blame for their horse being sharp/spooky. I understand that a rider or handler will have some input to the way their horse behaves, but surely some horses are sharper/spookier by nature than others?
