I can only imagine that you've not been there very long. There is only 1 livery there who has been there for a while. The turnover rate of liveries is very high.
Would not recommend Daresbury at all. Fantastic facilities but what really goes on is very different. Incompetence at its worst. PM me if you would like more info.
That's not how the yard runs. It's full livery. The YM feeds am and pm. He lays all the buckets out and goes along putting the right feed in each one. It works well and is a good system. If only he'd put the supplement in and not lie to me!
I know! I said before, I'm going round in circles! I'm grateful for all the opinions. It just gives you a bit of time and space to think through the approach to take. Thanks everyone for taking the time to respond - it's appreciated.
It's a lifelong lesson with horses and this is a valuable lesson. When I've observed myself doing something to a horse due to a quick temper, I've really beaten myself up about it - much like you're doing right now. But gradually, over time, I've learnt that I hate myself so much when it's...
I know, I get it, it's hard when everyone wants a bit of this and a bit of that! But there's got to be trust that the YM is doing what they say they're doing. Gaaaaaah! I'm going round in circles!
No, not there everyday. There's a table with the supplements on, including the ones he gives to his horse. He makes all the feeds, so no, the pots and self-administration wouldn't work.
