    The brutally honest confo thread!

Thank you, she's a very exciting one for the future I think :) She's always looked very "grown up"! I bought her straight from the breeder as a 2yo and she looked pretty much the same haha! Thank you :) I'm obviously biased but she's the prettiest horse I've owned Haha ;)

    Dually Halter

I would say black would be fine, they are quite generous, and have to be fastened snugly for the action to work.

    Dually Halter

I got one for my 5yo who started to feel her feet a little and realized her strength this winter! It has been a massive help both in turnout and loading, and I made sure to spend time in the school doing groundwork with her wearing it. I think it is important to practice getting the "pressure -...

    Big plaits - any advice?

I fold in half and then roll up if that makes sense, as it means I can really push them up into the crest and keep them tight :)

    Big plaits - any advice?

They look awesome! :D I get the best results from sewing them in straight through the middle of the "ball" of the plait to really push them up into the "hood".

Anyone done a course in rider biomechanics/pilates? -recommend!

I know Hartpury offers something like this with the mechanical horse and motion tracking software. It may be worth sending them an email and seeing if they have anything running soon :) I'm currently studying there and have been on a few of the internal courses they run in bio-mechanics/rider...

    BD Bling help.....

Personally I would say stick to subtle bling, so gold/topaz or silvery colours, and then colour coordinate :) The only time when I think bright colours look best is for flag colours in internationals... but that's just my opinion! ;)

    Gloves for dressage...

If you want a competition pair then the Woof Wear Grand Prix gloves have the same fabric on the palm :)

    Gloves for dressage...

I really rate the Woof Wear Event gloves. The fabric used for the palm is incredibly grippy and thin, while the stretchy breathable fabric on the back makes it feel like you don't have any gloves on! I'm a bit of sucker for gloves and have many, many pairs, these are definitely my new favourites :D

    Best riding gloves?

I've just brought a pair of Woof Wear event gloves, supper thin, super light weight and mega grippy. I also have a pair of Neuman gloves which are incredibly grippy but a bit thicker. For winter I just brought a pair of silk glove liners that are thin enough to wear under riding gloves without...

    Farriers at Events

It cost me £40 for a shoe to be replaced when I did not have the shoe and the horse had taken off part of the hoof with it!! Yes is was expensive, but it did take him almost 40 minutes as he had to change the placement of the nails and ensure that the balance was still right and the horse...
