    Don't worry oldie48, I'm no expert at the sitting trot. I still need to put in a lot of practice too. On the stirrup issue - I have tried both short and long, I personally find that shorter stirrups makes me take more of a seat position and I tend to put a lot more emphasis on the stirrups...

    When you say "book lessons" do you mean academic or riding? I live in Greenwich and have never heard of this place in any other capacity than a college. Have to agree though, it does look rather nice! I certainly would be interested to hear if locals could actually ride there.
