    Boots

The over riding factor for me is comfort; one style may suit you better than others I have boots for the time of year and the activity. My winter riding boot is an Ariat Extreme H20, I have a pair of Mountain Horse long boots, some nice jod boots and Ariat chaps and a pair of "show" boots. The...

New pony owner - advice needed on rugs please!

My personal choice of rug is a Rambo Duo as it is so versatile. Both my boys have one with the 100g and 200g liners which makes a 100, 200 or 300g rug. They can be worn inside and outside. I also have some no-fill sheets for warmer days with rain showers. The Rambo is expensive but one of mine...

    Bedding Choices

I've never used cardboard so not sure if mine is comparable; I use Ravieara which is chopped oil sed rape straw. One of my boys is a dirty b****r and he does well on it; it's about £6 a bale.

    Brown Panther is gone.

I saw MO's tribute on C4, very sad and touching; "I was with him when he was born, shared an experience for seven years that will never be repeated and gave him his last kiss goodbye. What an honour to own and breed him." RIP Brown Panther

Help me decide on which bit!

Both my boys are in Myler Comfort snaffles. My Arab is in the level 1 and my Andie has the low ported version. They are lovely bits which are "mouth shaped" and they have independent side action. I love them and wouldn't use anything else.

    Moving yards advice

I agree with 9tails; never burn your bridges! You have to try the new place because if you don't you will always wonder "what if". As long as you can always go back to current yard go for it!

    Aggressive stable behaviour... Help!

Hi, I have an aggressive horse and have done for 9 years! Would I part with him? Never. I would suggest finding someone with "equine behavioural" experience and do some ground work with him. My horse quickly learned that he could push me about, threaten me and do just as he wanted. His...
