I found the treatment fine, not at all painful although I could feel a bit of rummaging about. It is somewhat like a smear but takes longer, only a few minutes. You will get a local anaesthetic and I was able to see what was going on with a TV screen although I am sure they would turn this off...

I had treatment for CIN 3 in August. I bled for about 6 weeks afterwards but was back riding gently before then. I had to be careful as you aren't allowed to use tampons after treatment and I find pads not that great for containment. I was absolutely terrified and the waiting for final results...

For me it would be no longer than 15 minutes, 20 at a push.
