    Blandford flies

Another vote for summer fly cream. Also have found sudocream and also baby oil useful. You may find the horse will kick at himself to dislodge flies and his back legs get covered in whatever cream you use. I think the irritation caused by flies leads to swelling. My boy has access to a shelter...

Riding peoples horses....Favor or a service?

You need to clarify this before you start. Sometimes people come and hack one of mine out with me. Now if they wanted to go on a hack from a riding centre it would cost them £25.00 to £50.00 . So they could at least offer to muck out and clean tack. If you are being asked to school or train a...

Dilemma - just don't know what to do

Difficult situation. You can some times get a free Cushing's test done by a vet though you will have to pay for a call out. Call local vet and ask how much it will cost. I would really hope that all rescue centres can actually afford to pay for vets to attend when needed. You sound like a caring...
