I second low wide oxers, I generally start with one, with a placing pole in front of it at 9 feet and jump it from trot; gradually increase the width and eventually put the placing pole at about 11 feet and jump from steady canter.
Don't get disheartened, I never pay anywhere near as much as Polos Mum for my hedge cutting, it averages around £100 per year, but I don't see how overgrown hedge would be a problem for horse paddock anyway.
Get soil samples done, you can do it yourself and send for testing, Google will bring...
I like riding my horses, quite enjoy grooming them, too. Not fond of shovelling poo, despise filling haynets and would rather have a lie in, that's why if i don't have to, I don't do the mucking out. Nowt to do with lack of time, international travel or very hard work I'm afraid. I suppose I'm lazy.
I think you just feel lonely, and it is quite common in the modern world of social media and distanced interaction.
I suppose if you want more people to interact with you and support you, you need to open up a bit and share more things about you. It's not easy, there is no easy answer and I sort...
I'm in Heckington Fen, the place you are talking about Midlifecrisis is Millview Farm and it has been sold, private yard nowadays.

I have Wahl Avalon and clip numerous full/hunter clips on a variety of horses throughout the winter. 1 battery charge does me 2 full clips on well behaved horses or 1 and a bit on naughty ones :)
I've had a brief acquaintance with liveryman harmony and they were rather disappointing.
What's your mare's temperament? If she is sharp I would go for the Kannan bred stallion, Baloubets can be fiery and I always like to have an ''insurance policy'' should my youngsters not be talented/good enough for the top pro, they at least will be nice people :)
No problem :)
I can be pushy when I need to, it generally doesn't extend to Aloe, though :D
I find that if you pester people, you just get them angry, I have an on line shop and people can buy stuff from it, or not, it's not that I'm not bothered, more that I'm all for free choice ;)
I don't know the Equimins one, I use Forever Aloe which is 100% stabilised inner leaf gel. It's a bit more expensive, though.
The outer layers of aloe leaf have purging and irritating qualities, so bear that in mind.
