    Long leather boots - recommendations

Properly flat top for showing? If so Regents are the only ones I can think of in that budget (sure there are more)

    Buying safety wear

My CO's were in bags & boxes, when they bought out another brand for me to try one (Gatehouse IIRC) they were in more structured hat bags and didn't seem to be boxed.

    Ears ....

I use as fly veils, mine gets upset about flies around his ears. The ones I have are matchy but I don't use them as matchy - only in summer when needed.

    Tack room space

So variable: Yard 1: Massive storage sheds, YO didn't mark them out so it was a land grab exercise every time someone left. When I left after 3 years I had masses of space Yard 2: Tack room was a saddle/bridle hook, space outside stables took my tack locker and one of those green gardening...

    Breeches, jods or tights?

I'm breeches or tights all the way, can't stand jods personally. I'd probably say I slightly prefer breeches to tights as I'm quite hippy and it's a bit of a fight getting the waistband up - once on they're fine, but as an example I have some Pikeur winter tights that I've damaged the elastic...

    Savings/building society

Premium bonds - money can be out with 2/3 days notice and I've won way more in a year than I would have gained in any interest paying account

    Cost of 5 stage vetting

I paid about £275 13/14 years ago - I'm surprised some of you can still get one for that now!

    Advice needed !!

Unaff. SJ usually pretty much anything goes tbh. Blingy collar is fine. If white jods then I think white shirt works best but also a light blue maybe?

    Which clippers?

I have the Masterclip Ranger (which IIRC is the wired version of the Hunter?) and would recommend them all day long. Mine are quite noisy but they are about 8 years old, the newer version is much less bulky but I haven't heard them running - I suspect they will have improved the noise too.

    Question on Head Cams

You need something mounted with a trigger button you can keep in your hand - kind of like you have with a selfie stick but without the stick part

Put them back in until you've removed all the coating?

    3.5 tone van coversions

I've been looking recently and you can get a basic/safe conversion from about £7k+VAT (assuming price lists are up to date) - however I've never seen a Nissan conversion and know some Chassis just aren't right for it, so you'd be best to give someone a call and ask the question before doing too...

    Stable mirrors

Yes sorry - I wasn't thinking, from a postage point of view it's not a practical option... They do definitely do them though, just in case anyone comes across this in future!

    Stirrup recommendations

I have the Henry James leathers - I got the half hole ones which are fab as really adjustable. Quality wise I'm pleased, they have marked a little but it was a brand new saddle so it was going to show up anything and it does polish out on the odd occasion I clean it...

    Riding boot question

I had the non-insulted Bromonts and used to have wet legs taking them off in summer (that said I LOVED those boots). TBH I never looked after mine so the suede was like patent leather very quickly - I've just replaced with MH Sovereigns and I'm not noticing any difference from inside leg...

Personally I prefer to build my own and then you get exactly what you want rather than the bog standard body brush, dandy brush, curry comb etc. I like Haas brushes so have 3 of those, plus a cheapy mane/tail brush, a shedding blade, pulling comb, hoof pick, scissors, bands and a few spray...

    3.5T Van Conversions

Yes I hope I didn't sound narky and I totally appreciate that they have more important things going on, it just doesn't fill me with confidence to hand over ££££'s to someone that I might not be able to get hold of if there's an issue. I'm not the most patient person so it would really get to me...

    3.5T Van Conversions

That's good to hear - do you mind me asking how long you've had yours and how old the van is/mileage? Really try to compare between what's out there second hand as well.
