Anyone want a thread for the Olympic dressage live?

If anyone missed Fogoso's test here's a link to it. https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=10227126604098973&id=1472951362

Help, first show in 10 years and no idea.

Could you get leather half chaps that match your jodhpur boots for the ridden classes, not necessarily correct but ok for a local show and if they match properly, will look like boots from a distance.

Anyone want a thread for the Olympic dressage live?

Try this. The dressage starts at about 28 minutes in and CDJ is at about 40. Olympics, Day 5: BBC Two - 12:00-12:45: www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/m000y9w1 via @bbciplayer

Anyone want a thread for the Olympic dressage live?

Not on Eurosport, they are only showing about an hour of xc highlights on Eurosport 2. They didn't have the same commentators today as the Discovery stream so even if it's owned by them, looks like they are operating separately up to a point.

Anyone want a thread for the Olympic dressage live?

On the Russian site I used to stream it at the weekend, the translator used for the English version, translated Men's/Women's to Husbands/Wives

Anyone want a thread for the Olympic dressage live?

I would think the music from La La lLand would be popular generally.

Anyone want a thread for the Olympic dressage live?

They've just announced them after the break, commentators on Eurosport are Nicky Barratt and Richard Vaughan. That's not the same as the rest of you are listening to, is it?

Anyone want a thread for the Olympic dressage live?

I'm watching on Eurosport 2 on the TV, does anyone know if it's the same commentators as the streaming and who they are. It didn't start till 10:30 but they showed Carl's test and I think it's now live.

Heads Up - you NEED Discovery+ to watch the Olympic Eventing

It's not just having to pay, it's also not having access if you're not up to date with technology. You have to stream on an appropriate device. Content shown by the BBC was shown on TV channels and red button channels which made it accessible to a greater proportion of the population...

Heads Up - you NEED Discovery+ to watch the Olympic Eventing

These are the channels you get with the cable subscription not the streaming service and i checked all 9 for the time/day. It's caled eventing dressage, eventing cross country, eventing jumping there. I've put a series link on it and while it's not all the eventing dressage live, there are 4...

Heads Up - you NEED Discovery+ to watch the Olympic Eventing

Interestingly I've just scrolled through the eurosport channels and they seem to have scheduled hour after hour of live eventing dressage but only one hour of highlights of cross country.

Heads Up - you NEED Discovery+ to watch the Olympic Eventing

I'll check that out tomorrow. I get Eurosport as part of my virgin package, they've added extra channels so there are 9 showing Olympic events but haven't seen any equestrian so far. Nothing on their catch up either.

    Anatomical/ergonomic bridle

Could you just buy some cob cheekpieces for the Kieffer, that's what I did for my tb who was similar. My bridle wasn't a Kieffer but a cheaper one and black but it had brass fittings so I paid extra to get them to match. Don't worry about a noseband for the moment.

    Can't watch the dressage

Discovery have bought the pan European rights, they've organised deals to sublicense until 2024 then they'll be gone from the BBC. It's not just the UK, this applies to other European countries. On the plus side I seem to have 9 Eurosport channels showing various events as part of my virgin...

    Can't watch the dressage

Then given they will probably be showing something on BBC 1 and/or 2 throughout the games, 2 red button channels aren't needed. However when I checked it's the right to show 2 sports live so they could put edited highlights on the other or as it's the first day, the opening ceremony for those...

    Can't watch the dressage

Just commented on the other thread, BBC has 2 red button channels and both were showing the same hockey match.

    No Olympics

I went and looked at the BBC red button channels, there are only 2, and both were showing the same hockey match. Which Eurosport channel was showing it? I flicked through and seem to get some channels as part of my package but none were showing dressage.

Panorama tonight - racing industry and slaughterhouses

My vets are very good at checking, they tend to have a quick look when doing vaccinations and if it's not my regular vet will check when prescribing. My previous tb had a French passport and that had 2 pages:- one that said destined for the food chain one that said not so we had to be...

Panorama tonight - racing industry and slaughterhouses

It's because it's a huge industry and has lower production cost overall. They use Halal methods because there is massive demand in the Middle East for lamb that can't all be supplied locally. It's easier to use the same method for all but leave it to the supermarkets to decide how to label it.

Panorama tonight - racing industry and slaughterhouses

Presumably so you could have a passport where it wasn't signed out of the food chain. I don't know the processes involved, do they just check the microchip matches the passport? Check it hadn't been signed out of the food chain and treat the carcass as suitable for meat. Would they look up...

Panorama tonight - racing industry and slaughterhouses

There were some shenanigans. I only caught part of it but saw one bit. A horse injured itself badly and was pts on the course. Might have been Irish grand national, anyway footage of horse pulling up on 3 legs and all very public so had definitely been pts. This 'horse' turned up in a...

    Anatomical/ergonomic bridle

Bear in mind as well that the issue with flashes is you've got 2 straps as it was designed for people who needed a cavesson to attached a standing martingale to but also wanted a drop nosebands. So being a compromise it doesn't do either job as well as the individual elements and being attached...

    America v UK

They also use bolted for tanked off a bit. The other place I have seen it on here a few times recently is where a not necessarily knowledgeable Mum has come on here to ask for advice afer they've got a new pony which isn't working out. They nearly always say that the pony threw their child...

    America v UK

I would use both depending on the situation. I usually fall off or part company, have also had the situation where horse fell and I came off where I would say we fell. Can think of one situation where my old horse properly bronced, not an overexcited kick heels in the air and I said F bucked...

    Premier Equine

They are generous in some areas not in others. On my old tb who had big shoulders they managed to be too small and too big at the same time. They actually suit my current tb who is much finer better though down a size. Find the turnouts heavy but I've got a couple of coolers that are nice and...

Things you never thought you'd hear yourself to say to a horse...

Put that phone down! I'd left my jacket hung up too close to my tb who took it off the peg, pulled it in to his stable to examine it without being observed and had retrieved a phone from the inside pocket.

vets charging admin fees for processing insurance forms- is this the new norm?

Mine used to have a 2 tier system, nothing if you do the admin, organise the claim forms, send on invoices to be paid etc, all they do is fill in the vet report Then they charged £15 if they do a direct claim where they take care of everything and once you've started the claim they liaise with...

    Tired and fed up!

Years ago before Newrider became a pay to join forum, their horses for share section was the first place to look for a share. As long as there was some sort of price limit so it doesn't take trade from Horse and Hounds for sales section. A bit like we're allowed to sell stuff up to £500 in the...
