    Experiences of sharing

Hello all :) I'm writing a short article promoting sharing and would love to hear your experiences, both owners and sharers. In particular, has sharing had a positive impact for you in terms of, eg, support from like-minded people, friendship, benefits for the horses and humans involved and so...

Leather headcollar for massive NF head?!

What have people found to be the best-fitting headcollars for an enormous pony head halfway between cob and full? Nearer full, if I'm honest, but cob length cheeks. Budget no object, prefer max adjustability. Cheers! :)

    NT dry

Does anyone use this? I've been recommended it for my field-kept boy. He's just had his shoes off and has really deep sulcuses (sulci?!) but will be reliably muddy from now till next summer! If I scrape the mud off will the nozzle allow me to get into the sulcus? The instructions do say don't...

    Exercise intolerance (also in Vet)

I suspect this might be too vague to be of use to anyone, really, but I'm trying to be hypothetical here (horse concerned is not mine). How would you define this - as in its manifestations physically and in terms of mental attitude? And what would you look to re causes? And if anyone would be...

'Seeing it through' - tantrums. Sorry, long

Hope you clever guys in CR don't mind a slightly non-CR post: I hack a horse for a friend a couple of times a week. He's always been very spooky, very looky, and I don't have a problem with that - doesn't worry me, aside from its potential causes. He's a simple soul  who was rejected...

Did my first running plait today ...

and it worked! :) Being very pro pulling and plaiting in neat little balls, I have been putting off learning this new skill, but Kerilli's post the other day inspired me to get to grips with Simple Horse's mane (he's a Friesian). Took about ten minutes with a stop-and-start-again at halfway, and...

On the Kan stand at Burghley ...

I don't often post in here, not being a CR, but thought I would pass on my fun experience with the hammer on the Kan stand today in case it's of interest to anyone! I haven't worn a BP for years (been doing pretty low-risk things, as am boring!) but I have heard good things about the Kan -...

    Hair testing for minerals

Has anyone had their horse's (or their own!) hair tested for mineral imbalances? How much was it? Did it show up anything interesting/unexpected? Just wondering whether it would be a useful thing to use in conjunction with forage testing to get the balance right. TIA! :)
