I paid for loss of use on a mare I bought. She was with a dealer who had just imported her from Holland and therefore no history. NFU paid out within a few months as she ended up being diagnosed with kissing spine.
I only paid £3500 for her and got back £3k and ended up only paying 3 months...
This happens on Facebook - a lot…….
are you listing the items as a group or individually? I find I don’t read the group adverts where people take one photo of about 20 items which is difficult to trawl through.
I moved from the Micklem for the same reason. I’m now using a Henry James bridle which you can choose the different components with a noseband as below as it fits similar to a Micklem. It works really well and the leather is better...
there’s a good point to this. Bicton used to have a tiny course and it was hired all the time. Now there’s nothing below 90 and I’m not sure you can hire it anymore.
It filters through up the amateur levels as if there’s nowhere to start and get the xc bug, then it’s difficult to progress...
I'm similar to you in that I view my horses as being with me for life. However, I recently sold a horse I had about 2 yrs as felt he needed someone who wanted to do less jumping/competitions.
It was the best decision I made in a long while. I found someone fairly local who adores him and he...
Are you a member of a riding club?
if so, you can can great deals when registering with BS. In fact it would be worth your while joining a riding club and then getting the deal with BS.
I haven’t looked but a while what the discount currently is but have a feeling it was about half price.
Yes. I did.
I was expecting to be outraged or sad for the horses but actually they looked very well cared for and loved. I actually enjoyed it. The main man they focused on with the Dun, it was great to see how much he loved his animals.
I wear mine out from time to time especially when I’m on my own and I forget I’m wearing it after the first 5mins.
I also have an air gilet that I wear sometimes, quite often actually. that might be worth considering as it’s just like wearing a gilet except for the gas canister.
I tend to...
I don’t really have a question I suppose but any thoughts would be welcome in terms of best course of action?
Hes fully insured so vet would be a realistic option, but there is also the possibility that the vets would find something and it not be the cause of his explosions. “
I bought one on a trial period but never used it and sent it back in the end.
My horse used to get his tongue over and head toss (still does this a bit) but I found changing to a Micklem and a Bomber happy tongue actually helped so didn’t use the bit in the end. He’s now in a single joined...
Mine is 7 yrs old (I've had it 6 yrs) and done just over 100k miles. I haven't had any issues with it yet - apart from it telling me is 40 degrees outside all the time atm!!
I have a brilliant local Rexton dealer and they've not had any issues getting parts for me - but then saying that, I've...
I have a Rexton and it is brilliant. I’ve had it about 5yrs now and it’s never let me down. I tow 511 and regularly tow horses and it doesn’t miss a beat.
I can’t think of any negatives. Perhaps that the new model is a bit bulky as they’ve made them wider.
