Not sure if I should put this in here or competition but worth a try.
Just wondered if anyone is going to the finals for showing classes. And also who has been before what is it like?
I will be going on my own do they strip and trot up for showing classes? Does the judge ride?
Everything as others have said above black tack is acceptable at all levels so don't worry. Brown is correct but depends how you horse looks in this. And snaffle is def okay for local level novice classes.
I wash mine before and after with a hose pipe and never wash down in hot water. That opens the pores in the skin for mud fever. The ones that live out are just wet brushed where the saddle went and then a good brush before they go out.
having lost 1 horse to grass sickness we did all the above - no soil disturbance, hay out, still fed hard feed etc etc but unfortuantely lost another to grass sickness on the same area as the previous. had 2 horses together but only 1 affected. we will never use that grazing area again now! -...
If your serious about the job then ring the MFHA and get your name on the 'list'.
They will then in return send you a list of up and coming vacancies before they are advertised elsewhere. Many hunts only use the MFHA list for advertising.
I have a 12hh exmoor mare (see sig pic)
She hunts, sj's, xc and shows (workers).
She is difficult, stubborn, quirky, naughty, bucks, bolts and likes looking at me on the floor.
However I love her eternally and she has the most amazing character.
My advice is don't do it! lol
I have looked at the truck and trailer and still don't know what the weights are etc so have no idea!
The truck is a Landrover Defender 110 td5 station wagon and trailer an ifor williams 505
How much weight can i tow?
The owners are beside themselves and are offering a reward for any information leading to the capture of who ever did this.
The mare was very close to foaling but unfortunately her foal was still born due to the attack!
If anyone knows anything pm me and I will pass the details on to the owners!
I def agree with your comments about my horse - was just interested to see aswell!
Here is another pic of him
I would also like to point out that these...
