Public liablity ins... is it legally required?

Thanks all for you advice. I am not "trying to catch yo out" lol isnt it amazing how the flat written word can be so misinterpreted! I have left the yard, it was being run as " a very professional yard" but there were so many health and safety concerns! The biggest to my mind was the harrow that...

Public liablity ins... is it legally required?

YO is for ever quoting health and safety for stupid things like leaving a broom outside tackroom, them allows people to ride without hats, ride in trainers, she employs a young girl ( who has to handle a very naughty horse) as YO is scared to etc. It is an accident waiting to happen. If the...

    Dog insurance

I just checked on AXA and I would save £4 per dog. Also not sure on there £7000 cover, it states that cover is for per period of insurance... does that mean for the whole time he is insured (over entire his lifetime?) or is that per 12 months? Also complimentary is only £250. Petplan is £1000...

    Dog insurance

Not sure why others are getting such high quotes from petplan? Mine cost £26 each. I guess others must be wanting the maximum available? Just insured my lab who is 18 months old. The other dog came with free petplan as a pup and we continued it after a quick look around. At 3 months old it was £26.

    Dog insurance

Petplan offer a 4life cover. This means they do not exclude conditions already treated either. My dogs cost about £26 per month each (£4000 per year cover +£1000 complimentary) . The Lab has just ruptured hid cruciate and will cost £2100 to fix! Most insurance companies would exclude his other...

    Stamping legs - harvest mites?

Pig oil and sulphur was the only thing that worked on my old boy when he kept stamping/had mites. Bit messy but very cheap and easy. Brilliant at keeping mud fever at bay in the winter too. I tried everything and although skeptical thought I had nothing to lose by trying it!

Cruciate ligament damage - options medicate/surgery

Not sure where in the country you are? I posted on here a couple of weeks ago regarding possible hip dysplasia in my 18 month old lab. Yesterday he ruptured his cruciate ligament. I have just been quoted £2100. Vets said it was a set price and included all after care etc. . Lab is 36 kg and...

BEST JOINT SUPPS FOR HIP DYSPLASIA

I have just spoken at length to the Physio recommended by my vet. She says stairs are not bad but it does depend on how they go up and down. She uses stairs a lot to build muscle but they do need to push from behind and NOT pull themselves up with their front end. I will limit him as much as...

BEST JOINT SUPPS FOR HIP DYSPLASIA

If it helps my extensive weekend research has so far found... Green lipped muscle extract is highly recommended for joint health, along with, glucosamine & chrondoitin, Vitamin C, devils claw & rosehips. It seems that most stick to just one or possibly two supplements? I have no idea if giving...

BEST JOINT SUPPS FOR HIP DYSPLASIA

I think I deffo need to get to the bottom of this with a proper diagnosis. Although I have heard one or two clicks in the evening and he is slightly stiffer in the eve (after lying down) and he has definitely been guarding that leg as there is less muscle. He sits straight, walks straight, never...
