It should have been designated directly to a claims handler.
I imagine things have moved on and perhaps claims are computer stored now instead of paper folders.
I don't have any other advice other than your claim history hasn't been stored properly. Best of luck, no one needs this stress...
Hope I'm reading this correctly as in this is a continuous claim and therefore the 3rd time you've claimed for the same condition?
If so, it seems like they have lost your claim folder.....which should be kept in the storage library...
Probably my fault for not explaining properly!
I've no idea who the contact is in correct council area, so will just email the gentleman I spoke to before for clarification.
I'm disappointed I haven't heard anything back yet.
I just called the BHS team as far as I know and got put through to the complaints department for a BHS approved livery yard. They have sent official complaint form after refusing to do a spot check.
The complaint I made to local council animal welfare is seperate
Thanks Teapot, it was previously a riding school but that element was closed down years ago. It is now just a livery yard.
Unfortunately a current livery there has also had to contact Police. I hope the Police start to join up incidences. They are also contacting council animal welfare and...
The council member I was called by asked for photographic evidence to be emailed, I sent around 12 photos just to get the point across, he said he would forward them but I haven't heard anything since.
I definitely understand yards being given automatic re approval due to this pandemic.
And I will be putting in an official complaint to BHS. I'd like to know whether they know what is going on there and to remove approval status, or explain why they repeatedly give approval status if they know what is going on there.
I tried to contact the RSPCA in Northern Ireland, with regards to horses you are given the only option of council animal welfare department, which I contacted approx 2 weeks ago.
But I'm also going to contact Trading Standards
I'm putting in an official complaint to BHS, along with following up my complaint to council animal welfare.
If nothing is done, then I won't have an issue going public about the place with various incidences and photographic evidence.
A number of former liveries are prepared to contribute...
Yes, it is the same place. Along with the backed 3 yr old with the crooked pelvis and tail plait saga.
Approx a week prior to the horse euthanased due to hole in head, another horse required hospitalisation at vet clinic due to severe/extensive barbed wire lacerations.
The yard is located on...
That horse was kept in a herd in a field with bits of broken wood fencing, barbed wire and rotting XC fences.
The horse had a very sickly smell, perhaps a ruptured abscess caused the head wound. Probably had systemic infection as well.
At a notorious yard well known for poor management, yet somehow BHS approved an elderly horse was found in the field with a hole in its head.
An elderly horse that wasn't receiving appropriate care, or needed veterinary care.
The horse was euthanased shortly after, although I doubt just due...
Every now and then you find a diamond in the rough. If this horse makes you feel good being around it, then why not ride it and see how you go?
Horses don't need to buck/rear/bolt etc for you to fall off. Sometimes they slip, stumble or fall themselves, just accidents that results in a rider...
Ok, so help clarify....if I get someone sturdy to give it a good pull and it sets off, do I need to send it for a service anyway?
Or can I just replace cannister?
Or do I send off the jacket for a service without even testing it first?
P.s, my right arm has Lymphedema and nerve damage, I...
Well, I weigh about 8st and my friend even less so I think we were just not really up to the task of a good hard pull on the cord to test it haha.
The jacket/cannister/attachments etc all look great. The jacket has always been kept clean/dry etc.
Just think 2 featherweights aren't strong...
I have a couple of spare canisters, just couldn't get the jacket to set off! (Wanted to know what it felt like as well!)
The whole jacket is in great condition. It's just I didn't know if once a cannister was fitted to jacket, if it needed replaced after a certain amount of time even if not...
How long can an "active" cannister be safe for? Had mine years and still has original cannister in it.
All looks in great condition.
Can't find any info online about when to change them other than when they are set off.
Tried setting it off today for a test but failed. Friend tried. They...
Maybe an unpopular idea, but leave him in a field safe headcollar with a length of rope attached, in a smaller paddock with no abundant amount of grass for a bit.
If he comes to you voluntarily, he gets a treat and a fuss. If he doesn't, he won't. You walk away and leave him.
If his field...
Well mine is doing great, just pecks the odd time over some larger stones on an otherwise flat surface but otherwise grand.
Friends TB is better, but not back to normal. When leading him it's quite clear it's the heels/frog/sole taking the weight and not the hoof walls.
I definitely think...
