    Pre camp nerves and axcitedness

I'm off to Adult camp this week and I'm so excited but nervous at the same time! We have flatwork, polework/gridwork, Show jumping and Cross country on the programme and it will either make or break me! I've just got my confidence back jumping and I've never been xc before so I've put myself in...

    Washing Saddlecloths?

Does anyone have an innovative way to wash saddlecloths? I'm off to Adult camp on Wednesday, and won't have time to get to my rug washing lady or a horse friendly laundrette and I'm not a massive fan of washing them in my washing machine! I have a "horse hair catching bag" but I still find 10000...

    Long mane and reins

Snap. after being blinded for about 15 minutes, I have now learnt to "roll up" the end like a little plait!

    Long mane and reins

Your ponies' mane is as long as mine! If continental work for you, I'll deffo give them a go!! Not too fussed about getting some for best - the only outing I have planned this year is our first ODE! (EEEEEEEEEEK) So Continental reins are probably a good shout! Thanks!

Happy, happy, happy! Yet another pointless update...

Your post made me cry! I know all too well where you're coming from that was me 18 months ago. That is a moment you'll look back on when you're having a bad day/week/month and the emotions that you'll relive will be enough to get out out of the rut. Onwards and Upwards

    Long mane and reins

I have a dales x cob and he was a very long mane!! I usually plait it up in a running plait for schooling, but hacking out I tend to leave it "au natural". My rubber reins rub his mane, so I was wondering what people use/recommend to stop this. would plain leather or laced reins be better?

    Can you see a difference?

Hello! I was wondering if people who don't know Benn and I can see a difference in his schooling. I've been working really hard on rhythm and relaxing! The first video was taken on the 9th April 2014 and the second on 9th July 2014...

A&I supplies pony nuts - beware!

I don't think it's anything to do with A&I's nuts. As a horse owner you should have checked the bag or asked to see a nutritional breakdown in the store before recalculating a ration suitable to your horses' nutritional requirements.

I'm a woman, obviously it's my job to control children! as well as it's my job to make coffee and clean! Oh and speak only when I'm spoken to!

    God give me strength!

One is 11 and should know better but his worst offence to date is lying on a bonnet posing for a selfie, and the other is 7 and has used every car as a climbing frame, dented a roof by dropping a rugby ball off the viewing balcony down into the show room, locked himself in the boot of a bentley...

    God give me strength!

OH DEAR GOD NO. I winced at the thought. Fortunately I only had to polish off finger prints at the end of the day, and remove a sweet wrapper from a centre console. Thing is my boss doesn't even own the company, he's ONE of the MD's and is the kind of person who expects me to solve all the...

    God give me strength!

This isn't horse related... I'm a weekend receptionist at a car garage and we stock classic cars as well as some "normal" cars but with every single add on and extra imaginable. Every sunday my boss brings his children to work. they are right little *****s!!! Stole the elastic band ball...

    Help?!

I'm currently in the process of learning the test... I can't learn it by reading it, I have to have it read to me whilst I ride or walk it! Look like a bit of a numpty walking around the patio whilst my poor mother calls it out!

    Help?!

Thanks everyone :) We had a practice go yesterday and he was ok overall! he wasn't a big fan of the half 10m circles from E to X then X to B and he didn't like walking for one horses' length, but we have a week to sort it so I think we will be ok! :)

    Help?!

So next weekend I'm taking the pony out to dressage, intro A to be precise. Only problem being is that said pony seems to struggle to understand the concept of bend and refuses to work into a contact. Does anyone know if this will dramatically effect our scores or if we will be ok as long as...
