    Looking to catch up

Just a hello and what have I missed? Not logged on for 12 months, lots going on and about to move house. Still have the two wire vizslas and the 4 Jacks, we took on a 5th Jack in March although think she's got some Chihuahua in her. Can't seem to post pictures through my kindle or at least if...

    ultrasonic anti bark box

My mum or dad go round several times during the day when we're at work. The dogs are quiet when we leave and when we return, same as when mum or dad go round. That's how I know its not constantly like neighbour is implying

    ultrasonic anti bark box

Have had one of the neighbours complaining about the dogs barking when we're not in, it's a bit of a tricky one as when we're at work my parents pop in and have said the dogs are quiet when they arrive and when they leave and the same is the case when hubby and I come and go. I know they...

    Bridget's Midgets update

Been meaning for a while to put some up to date pics on, I am useless lol. They're 4 weeks old now, weaning well onto nature diet (think that's what it's called) and developing their own little characters. Got my registrations through yesterday, they're named after Beatrix Potter characters, I...

How to care for a litter of puppies?

I've not read the whole thread but get the jist that this is turning into a typical HHO shoot down, unfortunate really as AAD used to pretty much avoid that even when people voiced opinions. Whilst it's not the way I'd do it, if the puppies are healthy, happy and growing surely that's the...

    Bridget's Midgets

    Bridget's Midgets

Well yesterday was eventful, I got a phone call from my brother at 0830 which I missed, I rang him straight back and asked if everything was ok to get "errrr....noooo....Bridget's just brought me a puppy in her mouth!!!" Shot round to find he'd put Bridget in the whelping box and she was still...

JR Pup should I or shouldnt I buy? Advice pls

I have 4 Jacks and when it comes to small dogs (apart from a Pug which I would love) I wouldn't have anything else. Mine have all been easy to train and I compete 2 of my girls in agility which they love. Not strictly true, I grew up with gundogs, German Wires and Wire Vizslas, then we added...

Does anyone have any experience of Visla's?

Wouldn't wipe a breed out based on one or two dogs. No experience with the smooths but grew up with and have two Wires. Never known one to have aggressive tendancies towards people or other dogs although they will let you know if there's someone there who shouldn't be. The wires are very...

Took the python out in the sun

I don't have space for anything bigger than a Royal lol. She was eating perfectly when I had her, went a bit off just before Christmas, started again Spring time then refused until I found a secret weapon.................multimammate mice!! She loves them and apparently they're the more...

Took the python out in the sun

Lol. Ernie, the Corn, isn't too bad now he's a bit bigger but he was a right wriggle bum as a baby. It's Gert and Libby the two Kings who are ridiculously fast. Was in fits of giggles the other week. Got woken up by the hubby frantically shouting me, raced downstairs thinking the dogs had...

Took the python out in the sun

She loved being out once she realised she wasn't going to get eaten! Her name's Agnes but she gets called Aggie. I've got 4 others, 2 Kings, a Corn and a Hognose but I don't trust them loose lol they're too quick Just realised this one hadn't worked and can't edit

    Need to catch up...

Can't say I'm keen, it's bad enough having to catch up let alone readjust lol. Thank you, not a bad placing for her 3rd show since 4yrs ago! We've just become Crazy Dog Agility but I've been with my instructor for about 5 or 6yrs. I competed quite a bit before having to stop for various...

    1st time breeder

Not strictly true, nearly every responsible breeder I know of take their puppies back at what ever age for what ever the reason, that's the point of being responsible! The breed specific rescues are usually set up by breed specific clubs to rescue those without responsible breeders and so as the...

    Dreaded inlaws and stinky dogs

You're better than me, I deliberately leave mine smelly in the vane hope it'll put the outlaws off of coming over, they don't do dogs. So far no such luck but I'll keep trying lmao. She'll hate it when we have our planned puppy at the end of the year!

Keep an eye out for this man but stay away

I was always told never pull you do more damage and that strangling is the better option. I know they're smaller but still hang on strong, I had to strangle my two Jacks when they last scrapped, I'd never have separated them otherwise until one killed the other which obviously wasn't an option
  28. echodomino

What do you think? Cross about the situation we a puppy we bred....

That's appalling but not sure there's an awful lot you can do beside offer advice. Re the breeding that's why I endorse my puppies, in the vain hope that unregistered they aren't worth much is enough of a deterrent. I will lift it for the right people.

Keep an eye out for this man but stay away

That's the sad thing more bad press for Staffs when it's deed not breed. I saw a thing on Facebook the other day that I thought fitting it was something like in the 80s they blamed the Dobermann, in the 90s they blamed the GSD, now they blame the Staffy, when will they blame the humans?

Keep an eye out for this man but stay away

All well and good had I known myself!!!!! I personally thought it strange all through, there's no way I'd have stood by even with help if it was my dog and I'm sure it would have been possible to separate them quicker.
