Another vote for buying horse with scaring - i bought a 4yr old with a scar to his hind fetlock and extends down into his hoof making shoeing a little difficult (odd size feet and difficultly placing nails at first) but its all cosmetic and its mainly other folk that have a problem with it...

ditto, you could just imagine them bouncing around and nipping each others faces. I bet they are three proper cheeky chaps :rolleyes::D Just what they deserve after their loyality:)

ditto what SophieBailey I have mine in my field shelter they are fab; thick, durable and warm. Like it has been said, the only downside is they do absorb water/urine but do not turn 'squeltchy' just need washing off every few months :) It would be shame to turn down a freebie :D :D

thank you for all the helpful suggestions:) I will persevere with it for another day, may try mixing some cider vinger and then ring vets for some danilon as an alternative if no joy.

thank you for all the replies. i am not sure how successful syringing the bute in a solution would be as worming him is already a bit of a battle. the vet has issued me with sachets of bute, so cant really use an alternative either. Any other suggestions would be gratefully recieved:)

Long and short of the story one of my horses has to be on bute for 2 weeks am and pm, however little problem he doesnt like the taste - cue feed bucket going flying across the stable :mad: :rolleyes: So any suggestions how to mask the taste? i did think apple juice but not sure he is big fan...

mine has a habit of pulling shoes off a day before comps, clincs etc. Needless to say he lives in overreach boots and i have my very nice farrier on speed dial :D :D

well i posted in the NL because i wanted replys in regards to what he is like to work for which is why i thought it would be more appropriate asking in the general area of the forum. i know he does teach for pony club, but i was not interested in this or his riding :)

i havent personally used him but saw him do a demo and was very good. Patient and got the result wanted, didnt preech about natural horsemanship just got on with it.
