I took my horse on a hack, he was fine throughout, when he went back to field i let him loose and he trotted off - lame. No heat/swlling anything, just lame. Doesnt react to sole pressure and no worse with flexion. Anyone know of any expert lameness vets in or around lancs?

How large a diff can you go, in either direction? I've heard no more than a hand bigger for a small mare, but how big a mare can a 15hh stallion cover, is it possible for them to cover a mare thats a hand (or more) bigger or do you need to AI?
