    Passport/loaning

Due to lack of time, Charles is off on loan a week on sunday. Now i have seen that the owner has the right to be kept with the owner, but i'd have to post it off every time she needs it for vet and i think legally it is required for travelling? What is the best thing to do,do you think?

    Not horsey but...

I am currently working on a children's non-fiction book to help teach how to care for small animals. 'Happy Fuzzies' will be a fun, easy to understand book, probably focusing on small mammals (rodents). I'd like to gather ideas and research for the book, so I can target it and write in a way...

    Toilet Training!?

My friend has a private field with two horses. She used to poo pick and put the droppings in the corners of the field. The horses now use these areas as the toilet! In that small part of the field, the grass is long as the horses won't eat from it as their droppings are there - however the rest...

    Worming/Plans

I have my two horses wormed on Verm-X, strongly recommended by several people including a vet nurse. It is a all-in-1, but surely using it every time can make it ineffective? If i was to chnage to a worming plan, what would you suggest? i have no idea where to start? Also, how much are the...

They have a medium wieght turn out when it is below 5 degrees c at night, and stay out in all weathers, snow, frost, rain, storms. (Elderly pony has 2 rugs on) They are fine and...

Hiya, I have just fitted a Kimblewick onto my horse that was previously in a snaffle. I was just wondering if there was any particular way to work him into it? What should I expect with a horse trying a new bit? Also should I be gentler on his mouth? Any tips/advice welcome :P thank you

    Upadte on Charlies hoof/shoe

Hello all, I hope i didn't cause an argument last night, and i know i must have seemed very irresponsible RE: the loose/torn off whatever shoe. Farrier came out today, said the shoe probably wasn't tight enough, so has been ripped off, slid back and stuck. The clip had punctured the toe, but...
