Thank you!! She has been swelling up over night for a few weeks now, and then comes back in in the evening and has reduced right down again. This is the first time she has had swelling on her stomach so wasn't sure if it was normal or not.

Definitely another vote for ebaying them here! I moved mine before christmas after they'd been down 3 years. Although I'm well used to the smell of horse pee & have a fairly strong stomach the smell made me actually throw up. Not pleasant at all!! :D

Thanks for all the opinions everyone. Luckily OH not only rides, but is also a carpenter/builder so maintenance etc wouldn't be a problem! Think I would definitely miss having company on occasion but I guess that can be solved by sharers or getting liveries in.

Cai - ideally that's what I would have done but the unforeseen circumstances were becoming pregnant and baby's not due til end of June.
