    As a kid 50 odd years ago we regularly rode 10 miles to a show on a Sunday do gymkana games and jumping all day then ride home. Ponies had Mondays off then ridden the rest of week. We definitely did a lot more with our ponies and horses and there were a lot less problems / issues with them.

    Thoroughbred feeding - no weight gain

    My 23yr old shire x dropped off a few months ago. I started leaving him a big bucket of soaked grass nuts with another mug of linseed ( he gets 1 in his normal feed) He now looks amazing. Vet commented yesterday how well he now looks and says micronised linseed is a wonderful useful feed.

    I have the old kitchen larder which has 4 saddles and various saddle pads, also the downstairs cupboard which has 5 saddles and about 20 bridles hanging up. Daughter has recently moved out so now has about 10 storage boxes which has rugs, pads etc.
