My mare has just pulled a shoe and is quite sore, I can't get hold of my farrier and others aren't available until next week. I've kept her in for now but not sure if there is some sort of application I could put on or something so she can be turned out?
She's pulled shoes before and never...
I had a lesson with James Davenport last year, it was £45 for an hour on my own but he wasn't going to charge us as mare wasn't sound. Really nice man and had her going lovely on the flat although unsound! Highly recommended.
Looking for some info on Ballymerrigan Young Tutor. I have an 18.2hh gelding by him and can't find any info other than his owners address and his SJAI points. I know my gelding was bred by a Liam Mchugh from Co Wicklow but can't find any contact details, I'd love to know some more about him and...
I think it's down to his rug not fotting to great. He's 18.1hh and getting something to fit him is near impossible. I've just ordered a standard neck rug for him. I might buy a bottle and give it a go, do I just rub it in and leave it?
Has anybody tried this and if so does it work? My gelding has rubbed his mane out terrible with his combo rug, I don't really want to pay £19.99 for a bottle of Megatek. Does the likes of elvive keratin shampoo work or will it do more damage than good?
I have an Eric Thomas close contact jump saddle, which is leather with the gullet change system. I LOVE it. It cost £900 brand new but I have seen Eric Thomas gp saddles brand new on ebay for £350, although not sure if it's inter change able. Definitely recommend them though, amazing quality.
Feed her sarc-ex. I think it's trial and error but my mare had one very similar to yours but she's too dangerous to band it, so I fed her sarc-ex and it shrivelled up after three days they dropped off the week after. She was a bit sore for a day or two and now you wouldn't even know it had been...
I think it varies with different horses and different types of sarcoid. Mine had a large one that was almost like a horn, at least an inch long amd three smaller ones on the top of her back leg on the inside, my other mare started getting one a few weeks ago so I fed it to her and that then went...
I have a rambo protector with detatchable neck which I love and a super smart eskadron one without a neck which I got from Germany on ebay. Both are great but eskadron is a lot cheaper if you search a bit.
Mole Valley Farmers stock John Whitaker flash bridles for £40 in black and brown and they are lovely. Really nice quality with nice reins, especially the brown ones!:) There is often a code pops up on the ads on here for free delivery too.
I shall ask her in a moment.:)
Yes, I used to keep my two on Bullens (Nightmare, steer clear!) But we ended up moving back to the yard I bought my youngster from in between Warrington and Knutsford and moved house too. I now have four! Haha.
I shall get details asap.
Is melling to far for you?
Ashtons is nice on the canal and kids have to have an adult with them at all times, they have an indoor and outdoor too. I was going to move their but they didn't have enough stables at the time.
I'm so sorry to hear about your mare, I can't imagine what you're going through.
I'm not much help but have you tried feeding her different fruit and veg? I would expect you've tried it but what about turnips? Mine like pears too. Have you tried a horslyx? It would at least be something to...
Hi, I'm constantly seeing people talking about picking herbs and all sorts of plants which are apparently good for the horses, so which ones are there? So far I know of:
Anyone else know of things to pick and give them occasionally?:)
