£100 to spend what would you buy!

When I left my job last week

I got some lovely presents, one of which was £100 of vouchers to spend at my local saddlery

I'm just not sure what to get, I don't want to waste the money and would like something that will keep so I can remember my fabulous colleagues. I have thought about some smart leather gaiters as I hate riding in long boots, any other good ideas!

I second the sprenger stirrups mentioned above- I got some of the bow balance ones for xmas and I love them. Or maybe a nice new bridle? A posh leather headcollar with a plate for horses name to be engraved?

Those sprenger stirrups look really good, do they help you feel more secure in the saddle as well?
Like the idea of the headcollar with a brass plate.
Then there's my gaiters

oh dear the bill looks like it will be more than £100!

My Sprengers really support my knee & ankle joints & yes, they make me feel lots more secure although that could just be me. I find they help with your balance a lot too

personalised show rug,numnah or jacket. agree with headcoller and brass name or gaiters.ideally something that will last and that you wouldnt normally get your self.have fun

Go for the gaiters, it will save on wear and tear of your spine!

I don't do bending anymore, all that pulling on and off of long boots, so much nicer to put on gaiters, but get ones where the zip starts at the top. If it starts at the bottom you will be so long bent in half fiddling to do it up you won't have the energy to ride!

I think if you want something to remember your colleagues,the headcollar with brass nameplate would be nice, but maybe you could obtain some matched funding to get the gaiters as well?!

Caldene/Foxley/Mears/ Alexander James all tend to go for around £170......sadly

I think I would go for some really nice gaiters. English gaiter Company gaiters are lovely, a really good fit. I have 2 pairs - a pair for best and a pair for everyday.

If you fancy sprenger irons, make sure you try before you buy, i personally dont like them, makes me feel like my ankle is giving way!
