Bit of a self indulgent post! If you were to search in my past posts there is no doubt a recurring theme, my difficulties in travelling horses. I had a horse who refused to load at all for 2 years, despite getting various experts out, i eventually got Richard maxwell out who loaded him and got us sorted, only for said horse to panic on our first 100 yard journey and trash the trailer and himself in the process. It really shook me to the core as horse was ultimately PTS.

Anyway, new horse was very nervous when i collected him and despite lots of gently gently only improved a little. Now i realise i was not giving off confident vibes, i would literally shake for a couple of days before taking him out, anxiety through the roof. My Dad and partner both stepped in and said they would come with me on each trip to help me. They are both strong, calm, quiet types which was great for me and with each journey i could feel myself growing in confidence and with that so did my horse. My main sticking point now was unloading, he would explode out of the box which was quite dangerous. I called in Richard maxwell, again, he worked his magic. And just yesterday my confidence had come on so much I took him to a clinic 25 minutes away ON MY OWN!!!! He was a complete dream and made the whole process so easy for me. Not bad for a 7yr old Arab with low mileage.

So, thanks for reading my self indulgent post, I'm just so proud of me and my wonderful little horse

Truly well done for persevering! Lovely to hear great news ?
After your previous experience with your other horse its no surprise it caused confidence issues. It would have affected me the same.
To overcome that, you rightly should be very proud - it’s a major thing youve achieved to combat fear.
Now you know how, you have earned one of life’s most valuable tools - courage!

Your arab is gorgeous. You 2 look well suited. Wishing you many more successes together ?
