I need some thoughts...I need to find a new 0g indestructible turnout that is waterproof for a chunky TB. He fits in Weatherbeetas quite nicely and since I've spent a bit more to get the 1680D ballistic outer, I am not buying blankets all the time (hooray! Something that won't get destroyed immediately). I can't find anything similar in a 0g apart from the PE Buster in 840D ballistic outer but have read quite a few poor things about PE these days, or a Horseware Ireland at 1680D ballistic outer but they dont tend to fit him very well and is quite expensive.

For reference 1200D blankets tend to die a death pretty quickly despite mine being in the geriatric and disabled field (all 4 of them get along a little too well - as my vet says, they remind her of elderly men on a golf retreat acting as if they are 18 again and she's quite spot on with that!). I have a 100g and 200g already but looking for something for the spring. Any thoughts?

Would a waterproof fly rug be any tougher ? I used to have ripped rugs all the time with 2 geldings, now one gelding one mare so no more ripped rugs ... Good luck

The Titan looks like it has 50g fill but is 1680D ballistic so getting closer. IME fly rugs tend to shred very quickly and having just had a quick look, doesn't seem to tell me what the denier is on most but will have a deeper look.

It looks like Lansdowne exists but nothing horse related

The Titan is only 40g fill, so really it is just more of a substantial lining than an actual warmth thing. My big fellah never got overheated in his despite a lot of hooleying around.

My Maxima is 1200 d and has lasted 4 years so far despite being regularly pulled by 'friends'. They do great light weight liners too. Fits my chunky ID well and Irish TB.

Thanks!! He's very long in the back and has a big sloping shoulder for a TB.

His 1200D Weatherbeeta has lasted him just under 2 years so I'm not complaining too much but his 1680D ballistic weatherbeeta was bought around the same time and isn't showing any wear apart from dirt.
