Just interested really..

I had to retire my lovely chestnut horse Corky 2yrs ago with navicular aged only 10.

Sniff and Corky were out every week jumping - at the lowest - 1.20 classes (Fox) but were the sort of horses i could jump a 1.30 young riders track on and think nothing off it.

Fast forward 2 years and i still have sniff - but have had to drop him down to 1.10 / 1.20 as i am restricted now to one show a week and the other horse im running is a relative novice - so i either take both and jump lower with Sniff or leave one at home...

I have now decided to sell my novice - he is worth nice money but never enough to buy a 1.30 horse.
I have 2 more horses but both just being broken and the plan is to sell them and add the money together to find another Corky as such.

Obviously it will take me a while to produce the babies to the standard i want so i was wondering about loaning an older grade a / b that i can have fun with to jump 1.20 plus alongside Sniff again?

A plan? or just a ramble on my part?
And how often do these horses come available?
Any ideas?

Strawberries and Pimms for getting this far!

sounds like a plan, but bet the older grade a/b's etc go like gold dust, esp on loan!! my friend put her 20yr old grade a up for loan and he went within 24hrs of advert going up and she had over 40 enquiries!!! so you'd have to be super quick!!

I would let you loan one of my Grade As but at 24yos and 25yos I think they are past it and have earnt their retirements... but I would if they were younger

I know a 17 year old who was jumped by the whitakers, Grade A for sale and for not alot of money as he has taught the daughter well and is fab to do in all respects, still jumping 1.30 atm
