Some of you may know my summer plans were some what corrupted when I had to have my shoulder operated on. 3 months later I was finally allowed back on my pony - he was a star he has only been ridden a handful of times in that time but he was pro :)
I delayed the operation as all I wanted to do was ride... however all of you who are doing this dont, get it done asap! Riding just the twice this week with still relativly sore shoulder has been less pain than any day from the last year.
Anyway here are the photos.... - please consider none of us have done anything for the last 3 months! - little rusty!

Yay back on board!!! Happy days :D

OH has had 2 rotator cuff repairs and AC joint removed, know how much pain shoulders can cause. Hope you're well on the way to recovery now :)

By the way, pony is lurvely :D

Good for you! But listen to your body if there is pain, and take it slowly...

I had a shoulder op 3yrs ago, after delaying it far too long. Was wonderful afterwards - until this yr when our 6yr old 17h hunter had a tant and kicked it out again. After a summer resting, its just come out again, so they may have to re-operate. Very fed up at the moment, back in a sling and not riding!

So happy for you! I dread the possibility of not being able to ride :( your pony looks great, nice wide movement! hope you have a fruitful lesson, it always amazes me how instructors can detect and correct things that are almost not visible and they make such a difference :D

No! Feel so sorry for you I know exactly how you feel :( Shoulders are such a pain. I have hypermobility syndrome so it used to come out even if i just hung something in the wardrobe! However pinned bones now means x-ed fingers it wont happen. I hope they dont have to operate, Get well soon X

Thanks hun! I just shut a curtain at work this time!! Just got my event mare back from stud too (not in foal!) and had shoes on her yesterday -was looking forward to getting on her again. Kind of hope they do operate in a way to sort it out again so I don't have to worry. It was a freak accident. When a 17h hunter rears and boots your shoulder its going to come off worse! They think the pins have moved now in mine. Just do your physio religiously and build it up and you'll be grand! Enjoy your new shoulder.xx
