1 squished and bruised foot!!! Sympathy!!!

Well after having the worlds worst day at work yesterday, I went up to the stables, lunged my boy and then took him back to the stables then.... 'arghhhhh get of my you great big lummox!!!'

Alfie had gone slap bang squished my foot and then turned ... Double owchhhh :(

It's all bruised this evening Ewww!!!!

I'm sure there's plenty more people with squished feet and other body parts!!! Lol
 
Many years ago when i was ding my alevels, my loan cob x jumped on my foot - he saw a cow and was scared of them. Big lump didn't realise the ground wasnt very even for a fair few minutes, even with the yelp and eventually moved through a fair bit of persuasion... Or me shoving him out of the way.

I couldn't wear certain shoes for a few months, and couldnt bend my toes for over 6 months. Mother sent me to a an e, although I didn't see the point, what can they do after all, and I could walk - in a fashion. They said nothing was broken but after no toe movement for so long I wasn't entirely convinced...

Anyway, get better soon, horses eh!
 
ouch you have my sympathies.... my mare did that to me and left me with a broken toe or two. I now invest in safety boots
 
Thankyou angua2 :) oooh are they actually safety boots or like riding boots with steel toe caps (can you even get these?) because I have safety boots, as I am an engineer but perhaps would look abit daft wearing those big clonkers around the yard :)
 
You have my sympathy! Last summer I spent some time exercising a little 12.2 for a friend (yes I am a grown up, but I'm not very big and that pony is a whole lot of fun!). When getting off I forgot how close to the ground I was and - well, you know sometimes when you dismount and the flat of your foot really hurts... mine was black and blue for a fortnight. How I did that getting off a tiny pony I'll never know but it hurt like hell! So... **HUGS!!**
 
mountain horse do a nice protector yard boot, that I really rate as they also support the ankle, but I didn't have a spare £80 odd to get a new pair so I am clumping around in a normal pair of saftey boots of the dickies variety. I am finding them OK and they don't look out of place. Equitector do long boots with toe hoof protection, I think they call it, but the prices are frightening so I have just got a normal pair of boots and just make sure I keep my feet out of the way of my clumsy beast, and change back as soon as I am able
