It has been a year since I bought my beautiful, spooky, opininated mare and I am so glad I did!
Over a year ago I was working for a riding school that sold horses on occasion. We were contacted by a woman wanting to buy one of ours, unfortunately we had sold him that day. The woman told me she was trying to sell her mare who was too much for her and it sounded right up my street.
I arranged to view and was greated with an oversize hatrack with no topline at all. However she was pretty well behaved considering she had been stood in a field for 6 months. So I bought her
She was stressy and spooky, reared up a lot! Was scared of a contact and didnt like your leg. She had been used for showjumping and it was just too much for her, so I took her right back to basics and with the help of my lovely instructor we slowly started reschooling her. Its taken time(shes a delicate flower and has been out of work a few times) and a lot of effort but we are finally getting somewhere and will be doing our first dressage test very soon
I have no pictures from when I very first got her, this is from around 6 weeks after, she had been on ready mash and was starting to fill out.
From January this year, still lacking muscle and tense across her back and through her neck, but much better than she was
April this year, starting to relax a bit more
