Hello, I have just opened a DIY livery yard near Lanark, Scotland and thanks to users of the forum advising me on arena surfaces I am now about to use my new indoor arena for the first time!

Now I am looking for 10' wooden jump poles painted or unpainted and ideally 4" diameter. Any suggestions on where to get them and how much they might cost? Also looking for wings or blocks...when looking on line they seem to be so expensive!

All ideas greatly received.

Nicola

Don't know if you have a Mole Valley Farmers near you, but that's where I got mine

try your nearest wood merchant, they may also make the jump wings for you at cost, then you could paint them?? far, far cheaper than buying ready made.

with the wings/fillers if you can get the measurements then you can get them made and painted at a relativley low cost compared to what they would be if you bought them ready made.

I got my wooden poles from e bay & they were £11. The place was only 3 miles up the road tho so we could get them in the lorry.

Apparently Travis Perkins (builders merchants) do them for £10 each?

I bought mine on ebay - 20 X10ft poles painted in whichever mix of colours I wanted and they cost £199 delivered. it was cheaper to get them on ebay painted and delivered than it was to get them from my local wood yard

A local garden centre sells stripped and rustic with bark for £8 each. Not sure what they are used for in gardens ?!

You could try ringing some of yours to see if they sell them too.
