omg so wrong......I thought this country was bad! Mind you also shows how its not so different in other countries.

Why do 'kids' nowadays feel the need to have sex young? They should be out enjoying life, doing things kids do. Not having sex at 10 and then getting pregnant.
I always say and always have said, wait until you are in a stable relationship before having sex, and i would also say not before 17 (at the absolute earliest). But then that's just my opiniion on it.

Even still, it's just not right to be having sex and getting pregnant at 10
 
Can't help but think, if it is "common" in their country then, early developers?
I was "able" to have kids lets say 3days after my 11th birthday. Varies from person to person.

Anyway. In England, kids are kept in the dark about this stuff till later on for a good reason. Going by this, she was obviously lead to believe it's right by her parents or whoever.
I don't know, I think it's wrong on so many levels, regardless of origin.
 
I'm not sure on this one. For all I know it really is common in their culture, it may even be a norm. In this country it isn't a norm at all so I'd be very shocked if it happened here.

I think our children grow up relatively slowly in comparison to other cultures. They don't experience or deal with things that children in other cultures do.



Edited to add - I'm not saying I think it is ok for 10 year olds to have sex or make babies!!

They are emotionally extremely immature. It's not just about being physically capable of getting pregnant. How can someone aged 10 deal with a baby and understand that it's not a "toy"....?? and then nurture it into responsible adulthood?
 
It's very sad. What about childhood? As a parent of a 9 and an 11 yr old (both boys), I can safely say that I want them to enjoy their life and the lack of responsibility they have at that age. Goodness - the thought of them looking after a baby full time - they have to be reminded daily to put their pants and socks in the dirty clothes basket!!
 
i'm not convinced that the story is actually true. Its hardly come from a news source we all know and trust...?
 
Very sad that she has lost her own childhood - not sure at 10 if I actually new were babies came from - we were such innocents then.

Soy products have been linked to girls maturing early - so if you don't want your daughters maturing early make sure they don't get SOY products. Don't want your sons to become gay then make sure they don't eat or drink out of anything made from rigid plastic.

Technically, EVERYTHING in our environment harms us so you are damned if you do or damned if you don't. I'm not going to get into the whole gay debate as that is not what this thread is about but I grew up in the 80's before soy stuff was readily available and I still matured early. So did my mum who grew up in the 50's when no one knew about soy so it's just in some people's genetics.

I matured early (much to the amusement of my classmates in gym class :rolleyes: ) and definitely never had soy.

If thats how you stop sons being gay - how do you stop people being lesbians? Stop them from standing too close to cars/sofas/trees/anything remotely ridiculous?! :D

Pains me that people think things like that tbh :o
 
Some time ago I watched a truely shocking documentary about Romanian gypsies living in Madrid.
The fathers sell their daughters as soon as they reach puberty, to be worth any money at all they have to be a virgin & a good thief. So as soon as they start their periods they are sold & forced to marry; they then also go out robbing for their new owners.
A father was interviewed & he was most unhappy that he'd already sold all his daughters for a low price, as since Spain had entered the euro the prices had gone up, so he was not pleased that he'd sold them before he could get a better price.
They were horrible people, it could be that this unfortunate child is a victim of this awful practice.
 
I am legally old enough to have a ten year old daughter...
God I could be a grandmother at 27?!

Luckily I was far to sensible for things like that (I was all about ponies until I was 17!)
