11.2 height/weight of rider

Hi everyone

Just thinking of buying a 11.2 welsh section A for my 6 year old to use as a lead rein but would like my 11 year old to ride him too - he's 7 stone and about 5 foot 2 - would he squash the poor boy?

Should be OK. Most sections As are fairly chunky. Mine carries 7 stone easily but I wouldn't put much more on him unless it was very short sessions.

Isn't it that they can carry 20% of their weight? (may be wrong percentage, but something near that). I am sure for once in a while would be ok, but for regular riding imo I think he would be a wee bit big.

His weight should be ok but im 5ft3 and my legs seriously hung low, aking it hard for me not pony, so was hard to squeeze etc! But weight wise no probs!

I think it would be height being your biggest problem, an 11.2hh wouldn't give our 11 yo much room for his legs so much harder to squeeze a small pony! you may be better off getting something a little bigger, on lead rein t wouldn't make a huge difference on your 6yo

Should fine - I have ridden smaller (only for V short sessions) and I am 7.4 stone but short
