13.3hh Gelding Stolen In Bristol TODAY

I've just had a phone call from a friend from my old yard in Bristol telling me that another friend's pony was stolen this morning. He was staying at a farm in Hallen in Bristol and when she got to the farm this morning, the gates were open and Blue was missing. His fieldmates were distressed and uncatchable.

He has been reported stolen and the ports have been notified. I have asked for the crime reference number to put it on here and have also checked the Stolen Horse Register but he isn't on there yet.

Blue is a 12 year old gelding, white grey, with a black teardrop marking under his left eye. His left eye is black lined while his right one isn't. He has stripey feet and is shod.

He isn't freezemarked but is microchipped (I've also asked for his microchip number).

It is suspected that he may be on his way to Ireland so please keep your eyes open!

That's terrible, that seems to be a real hotspot for horse thefts. Close to the Motorways I suppose.

It's a major hotspot - Blue's probably the 5th or 6th horse to be stolen from the area in the last 12 months

The yard he was taken from is the same one where the chestnut cob mare and grey Welsh A gelding were taken from last summer.

Blue's owner has sent me a text to let me know her insurance company have offered a reward for information leading to his return.

Unfortunately he isn't

We didn't find him at Slough today and Usk was cancelled so the search is still on.

I saw a pony looking similar to Blue today in Derbyshire, East Midlands.

He was a hairy cob, but i'd say more pinky cremello like colour than white. He had one blue eye, and black outling on the other eye. He had a pink nose and pink speckly sheath. I can't remember much else i'm afriaid. I saw this thread today so when I saw him, he really caught my eye!

I noticed he was practising loading into a trailer, and he wasn't keen on it.

Thanks for reporting the sighting lovecharles - Blue's owner checked it out and sadly it wasn't him although she said the resemblance was startling.
