A friend's daughter is giving up and rang me to see if I knew anyone who would want her very sane and sensible 14.2 (more like little horse than big pony). I recommended him to her about 7 years ago and he was quite expensive then as he had done everything in PC etc.

He's not competed for years now, just used for light hacking, and the big problem is he is now 19. I am going to see him and check he is sound as another friend of mine is coincidentally looking for - a 14.2 ish happy hack!

I can put them in touch and keep out of it, but feel some advice to the teenager as to a realistic price would not be out of order. So if he comes with all his tack and wardrobe and rugs, what's he worth? I'd like to know what anyone on here would pay, so I can tell her and say 'my contacts tell me...'

Worth his weight in gold even at that age if he is healthy and sound. £1500 if he can still get fit enough to do the odd PC rally.

Great, thanks everyone. Will go see him tomorrow to see if he is still sound enough and happy to be worked, and then take friend to see him later in the week. That should give us all a ball-park figure to work with.
