14" saddle for mini shetland?

Would a 14" saddle be too big for a mini shetland?

I've currently got a 12" Thorowgood cub saddle on him but my daughter who is just 2 and is only just starting out hasn't got anything fixed to hold onto at the front, i've been looking at the wintec kids saddle
http://www.rideaway.co.uk/-wintec-kids-saddle which has a fixed handle but I think it would be too big? But then is 2" different much difference?

how big is your mini? im thinking 14inches would be miles to big! considering I only have 3 more inches on my 15'2????

there is a review on there that says it fits a 12hh pony perfectly! so going to say defo too big? my mini is only 7hh!!

I've just realised on there it says in the description 14" but the pic showing the measurement shows 12".

I'll see what I can find out, 12" would be perfect!

I would say too big. My 11hh pony is a 14'' but even that looks bulky on him

I'd say no bigger than 12'' on your pony

There are lots of different syles of the Cub saddle (not sure if its redesigns over the years or different models) i have one with a handle (soon to be for sale ) And ive seen a few with differing types of handle too

For a regular saddle 14" would be way too long but cub saddles are different - a 14" will drown a tiny tot though, even if not too big for the pony.
