how high would you say a 6 year old coloured Irish Draught X would jump in competition successfully and regularly

Hypothetically, the horse is a medium weight not the light sports type but not a heavy cob either, bold and brave and general good temperament.

Opinions please

Crossed with what ?

Half TB and nothing much will get in it's way, crossed with a Shire and it will go through rather than over !

i am not sure what he is crossed with he just has a standard passport saying irish draught X. i personally think he has a bit of warmblood in him but hat is just a guess. no TB though. hes medium weight and has a bit of feather (that i clip off!)

Grace is IDx, she's 16.1 and with a decent rider, will happily jump 1.20s all day. Not with me though cause I can't jump for toffee (we regularly demolish 1m fences though, if that helps. It doesn't help us, that's for sure!) she's 14though, not 6.

Another horse on the yard will jump 1m, wether you can see the stride or not, assuming you can motivate her in the first place.

Down the road is a show jumping yard, I believe they produce youngsters. I've seen the jumps in their school to the top of the wings. (no idea how high though, I gotta be honest) Their main rider was at one point, one of the top riders in the UK, so I dunno.....whatever you'd expect a grade A jumper to be jumping. I'm pretty sure they had an ISH at one point.

At olympia, The puissance wall goes over 2m. I could get on the winning horse and fully expect to go through the wall head first.

It doesn't depend as much on the breed of the horse as the individual horse and rider combo. I read somewhere though that most average horses top out at around 1m to 1.20m.

Um my 16h 1 draught x tb medium chunk will happily do 3 1/2 ft with ease with my friend. He's not crazily fit and I only pop him over 2ft 3 myself regularly. V bold cross country too!

Depends how good a jumper it is? Conformation, technique and attitude are far more important than breed. And being coloured won't affect his jumping at all;)
