Has anybody heard of, or competed in, 15+ Horse and Pony Events?
I was just looking at the provisional timetable for Equifest next year and they have classes. So, I looked up their website and it does appear that they do qualifiers etc for their own awards.
Markie has done rather well in the showring this past season and getting to Equifest is our next year's aim (just missed out on the one and only qualifier we could do this year). Travelling to the mainland is £70 just for the truck, £12 each person for a day return, plus fuel, so, without sounding pot hunter-ish, I don't really want to go to many shows over the water unless it's going to be worthwhile and he's got a slight chance!

we were really lucky as were not showing people at all and we went to an equifest and rihs qualifier and lots of pros were there and we won both our classes and qualified for equifest in two classes so just keep going

Our problem is, we don't get many qualifiers over here and the cost to get to the mainland is ridiculous. So far, all I can see is one chance 'at home' to qualify and it's a normal, ridden coloured class (1 place off qualifying last time). I'd like to try and get him into a veteren class as he'll be 20 going on 6 by then!
