Not a criticism of her current owners as I don't know the circumstances, but gosh I bet she was worth an absolute fortune in her heyday.
 
I think mayflower is refering to the ad on the right of the screen.
Poor gal, would probs make a nice lil' investment if you were breeding!
 
17 is ok if the mare is fit & has already had a foal.

There are risks & complications breeding from older mares but each horse is an individual so impossible to say.
 
I know a couple of mares that are still healthy and breeding at 23 and 24. Not sure how long they've got left. Think they'll be stopped at 25 but they're certainly still healthy and capable.
