Friend is interested in a mare, 3 now and 16hh, how big do you think she would end up being, Dont know how big the mother was but know the stallion is Eurocommerce Berlin, 17hh. cheers
16hh at 3 years, how big would she grow??

My horse is 16hh at 3, and I expect him to make 16.2. It a lottery really though isn't it!!!
My friend bought a 15.2 4yo and he ended up with a 16.1 the following year (this horse was half TB so you'd have thought he'd be done growing at 4!).

My lads dad was 16.3,mum 16 and he is 17 with shoes on
without seeing pics difficult to say,my boy did his growing in stages...he went up,then out a little,then up and out a little,then nothing then out,lol...i panicked he wasnt going to be big enough(he was a tb bought at 8mnth old,i didnt force feed him to grow quickly and he finally stopped growing and filling out at 8)
If she is a VERY lean(meaning through growth,as when they growing they dont fill out at all) 16hh then she will spend a
few yrs filling out
I rekon 16.2/3,purely because sounds like she has reached a decent height for a 3 yr old....filling out comes now,maybe slow grow an inch or 2

yes my friend bought a 5 yo tb cross at about 15.3 following year he's now 16.1!!! But likewise I've had 4 yr old 15.2's not grow an inch more!!! There is a calculation something like measuring the side of the leg from the bend at the knee to the coronet band in inchs equals the height (15 1/2" = 15.2HH)?????? someone may correct me on that calculation!!!!!

Ive always got told to look at the top of the bum (when standing on a flat surface), if its higher than the withers then they still have growing and catch up at the front end x

As she's at least part warmblood she still could go another 2 - 3 inches. I wouldn't be surprised if she didn't end up the same height as Dad.

We've got a 2 year old at our yard that stands well over 16hh already. Not sure his exact height as he's never had a stick put next to him, I can't imagine how HUGE the thing is going to end up!!!

Lol its so hard to know isn't it! Just got our new boy home this morning, he is almost 3 (1st July) and bum is 16hh now - expecting him to make 16.2hh. But he is half WB, dad is 16.1hh mum 16.2hh.
