Like the look of Fresian advertised (right) Don't really know anything about Freisan's so, wondering what any Fresian owners/breeders think? PM me if you want.
Thanks
Looks a nice horse, but I agree it seems to have done a lot for a 4 yr old, although maybe not... Have to admit there was something about that photo that just looked wrong to me, and not just the fact the girl is wearing a polo hat...
The photo is awful. Not representing what the wording is saying. And as said on the previous threads Fresians are quite slow at maturing so it seems to have been pushed (if what they are saying is correct) far to quick and I'd imagine at some point either its brains will go or joints will.
imho from those pics looks as likely to be doing half pass as something unbacked.
if it has an amazing trot/ can do half pass in canter why not show DECENT pics!
Just saw it by chance on horsemart... According to the ad there it only turned 4 about a week ago! I'm sure it's a lovely horse, but has been pushed too far too young for my liking.
In my opinion, it has been completely over-faced if it is GENUINELY doing as much as is being claimed by the seller at the age of JUST four.
Friesians grow slowly; they need time to mature. Over-facing them at such a young age can lead to either joint problems or a fried brain later on.
My own just-four-year-old Friesian works nicely at a basic level. He was started by a Dutch dressage diva, but still occasionally forgets how his legs work! At 17 hands, the one in the advert will be gangly and unbalanced to some extent; it's a simple physical matter!!
