Settled well into the new yard, but the grass is much better quality than where we were. Makes it all the more nerve racking about her 'being porky'! Currently strip grazing it, I don't want her any fatter - agree?. Looking forward to the frost to kill off some goodness?!

Looking a bit porky for my liking for a youngster but it sounds as if you are managing the grass situation. Is she fed anything else?

Nothing else at all.
I am finding it hard regarding the grass, as she is in a field with an elderly TB who needs the grass and my other little horse who can eat better quality grass and not blow up too. I did have them in two separate patches, but the elderly TB got too stressed on his own, and I can't have the youngster on her own. I have opted to strip graze it, at least its working in keeping the old boys stress levels down.
