Ive just rang for my time which is 11.51 and they said im " bridle number 15"...... i dont have a bridle disc and if im going to get one need to nip out now before i go to work this eve.

Im in a bit of a flap as this is my first pure dressage test and my horses is "quirky".

Should i go and buy a bridle disc and how much are they? I dont want to look like the numpty that is out of place

are you competing affliated? if you are you need a bridle disc, or one that goes on your saddle cloth.

if its unaffliated they should provide your number to tie around yourself. Id phone the venue and ask.

If they have said the bridle number you I would have thought you need a disc.

At norton heath they tell you teh bridle number and you have to have a disc even unaffiliated.

I would go and buy one and they are about £7-14 ish

they should provide you with one, phone them back and check. There is nothing wrong with asking and i certainly wouldnt go out and buy one just for an unaffliated unless you really want one.

good luck btw! x

I found some pics on an event photograpy website and the riders are not wearing tie on numbers, so i assume i should probably buy the disc?.

I will use it again ( depending on how badly we do hehe ) so i suppose it will make us look smart.

The local tack shop had one at 12.99 so i think ill buy it tomo then i can lend it to the y/o as she wants to have a bash at dressage so will save her getting one too.

Im going to plead with a bystander to video it for me as im going alone so i can compare it with the test i did as part of a ODE last year. That was soooo embarassing i scored a whole 48 % hehehe still i suppose it cant get much worse than the last attempt.

Dont buy one, we do unaff dressage at our venue and although we give out bridle numbers, itsjust so that you know when u are going and so that u can give a number to the judge verbally.

Waste of money unless u are going to affiliate

Emily its at cobham manor, we have a new instrusctor and things have taken a dramatic turn and she has improved alomst beyond recognition!.

I just want to run throught the test a few more time sin my head and i think im as ready as ill ever be.

My friend is riding down on her big youngster to support us and she said she will take a video if i cant find anyone else as long as i give her a leg up ( her horse is 17.2 and she sonly 5ft5 ).

I do have this number thing but its a bit flimsy and im not sure how i could attach it and i think its too big anyway.

the venue is www.cobham-manor.co.uk

Hi Claire,
Have fun at the dressage. When is it?
Cappelli will look so smart doing her dressage. Good Luck.
And remember to smile at the judge at the beginning and the end. x

.

Its tomo ( sat ), i promise to get pics of her/ us all ready and dolled up even if its before we leave the yard.

She had a bath yesterday and i washed her mane which is rather "wild" at the moment. God only knows how i wil get that to look smart hehe.

I shall remember to smile at the start and end even if it is through gritted teeth with wanting the ground to open up and swallow me.

The way i see it is can only get better- well it doesnt get much worse than 48% does it
