1st dressage today with stressy TB mare!

Following on from my previous post am glad to stay it went well :)
In the warm up she was wonderful untill we stood to wait our turn, she started getting stressy so by the time we went in she was very stressy with her head :( a couple of times shejogged through the walking bits but apart from that everything was okay - we didnt get an outline but hey ho!
We got a score of 58% and got placed 6th place - winner had a scoore of 67% so i didnt think we did too badly, we had mainly 6s and the comments were all about her unstaedy head.
By june i hope to have improved intime for the next one :)
 
well done thats great!! I have a stressy tb too and had dressage today but she decided she couldn't go anywhere near any flowers!

I took my mare out yesterday round the block for a short hack, we went in the menage and after about 20 mins of perseverance she went into a beautiful outline for about 10 mins! its probably the first time ever that she has worked properly from behind and felt really light in the hands :) gave her lots of praise and hoping top try again with her tomorrow in the school :) plus jumped her today and for the first time she jumped some very scary fillers very well! shes in the good books :)
 
I have one of those too!
She is quite stressy, i try and do busy tests to keep her interested!
Doing her free walk is funny, she permantantly jogged through all of it once, and in the same test she bronked in canter, was quite a funny test really and the judge still gave me 61% for my accuracy which i think was quite kind, she loves speedy horses though so i was lucky on that occasion!
Dont lose heart, with lots of hard work it gets better, trust me as someone who knows:D Good Luck with other events!
