We went out of the start gate like a rocket and shot over the 1st 2 fences. The silly sod ran out at the 3rd (where all my friends were standing of course), but we got over 2nd attempt. Clear all the rest of the way round. He loves water, so we tanked through both water fences splashing at least 1 fence judge. Shot over the last fence which I had been worried out (had problems there before as it has trees on the back of it) and finished in 11th place.

The photographer got a great picture of us going over the last fence. Charlie looks great in it. Pity I had my sunglasses on, but I could not see otherwise!

Sounds like you had fun. Sods law would dictate that; The one fence where you want to look good, the damned horse will put a stop or a run out!

The picture will be posted to me in a week or so. It was great fun and we were both up for doing it again straight away.
 
go you sounds fab! i was there today and had a fab day! its sooooo good down there well designed courses! what class did you do? i bet you where proud of your horsey especially as it was your 1st hunter trials!

Well done on coming 11th you must be chuffed to bits, there were about 34 in that class. Which photos are you buying, sis is getting the house and trakner one and I'm getting the trakner one?

The last fence (Pistol Log) as the trakhener one had the fence judge's car in it! Wish he had been on the houses too as we flew over that.
 
well done, glad Charlie was good and typical having run out where everyone can see!
Do you know if the course is open again i'd like to bring Bud down xc schooling one evening this week.....
 
I have just emailed the YM to ask whether the course is open. When are you thinking of coming? I want to school around too 1 evening, so if you fancy some company...
 
The course is open again this week, we're schooling on Weds afternoon....

brilliant thank you.... well maybe tomorrow evening, or if i can finish work a bit earlier today maybe tonight.... yes i am at work today and it sucks. if it's tonight won't be much good to you? i expect Charlie is having a rest today?
